WINNERS of the 1st Annual Eeyou Marine Region Photo Contest!

Thank you to everyone who participated! We had many excellent photo submissions and the decision was very difficult! The Eeyou Marine Region Wildlife Board members voted on the winning photos after examining each one for quality, uniqueness of subject matter, and whether or not the photo was taken within the boundaries of the EMR. The winners are:

1st Prize: Katherine Dehm (Fall Colours, Wemindji Coast)

2nd Prize: Glen Calvin (Whapmagoostui Musk-ox)

3rd Prize: Olivier Chabal Dragon (Eastmain River)

4th Prize: Steven Tremblay (Northern Lights)

We will be contacting prize winners today via email. We are also in the process of selecting photos to be used in our 1st annual EMRWB Calendar, so stay tuned! And finally, we will run another photo contest next year (maybe even seasonal contests!) so keep on taking photos of the beautiful EMR
