Eeyou Marine Region Organizational Chart
The EMRWB is made up of seven members supported by management and administrative staff. The staff support the board and carry out the day-to-day operations of the organization.
EMRWB Members and the Appointment Process
The EMRWB is made up of seven members, including the Chairperson:
- Three members are appointed by the Grand Council of the Crees of Eeyou Istchee (GCCEI)
- One member is appointed by the federal Minister responsible for fish and marine mammals (DFO)
- One member is appointed by the federal Minister responsible for the Canadian Wildlife Service (ECCC)
- One member is appointed by the Minister responsible for wildlife under the Government of Nunavut (GN)
The Chairperson is nominated by the EMRWB members and is appointed by the federal Minister responsible for fish and marine mammals in consultation with the federal Minister responsible for the Canadian Wildlife Service and jointly with the Minister of Wildlife of the Government of Nunavut.
EMRWB Staff
The EMRWB staff is made up of 4 individuals: Director of Wildlife Management, Angela Coxon; Wildlife Management Biologist, Felix Boulanger; and two administrative staff, whose skills are shared between all three of the EMR bodies: Administrative Assistant, Priscillia Wesley, and Accounting Administrator, Susan Esau.
